Call to Order
Attendance: Susan Douglas, Alisa McNulty, Michele Kraemer, Nicole Pickard, Deirdre Caulfield, Betty Bentley, Anne Slager, Jennifer Cob
Student Representatives – Jacob McNulty, Evan Michaud
Introduction of Trustee -Jennifer Cob
Motion to Accept Minutes- Minutes passed by Susan Douglas, second by Nicole Pickard
Staples Contest- Deadline for contest passed before we had a chance to submit essay.
Spring Fundraising- Discussed different fundraising ideas for the spring Pampered Chef, Little Ceasars, and World’s Finest were discussed. Talk about forming a fundraising committee.
Fundraising- The magazine fundraiser brought in roughly a 696.00 profit, with $220.00 in donations.
Treasures Report – After magazine campaign and purchase of smart board we now have 2,668.74 in the bank. We need to keep $1500.00 at all times for playground, and should have $400.00 per smart board for replacement bulbs, need to give each teacher $200.00 over the course of the year
Katie fundraiser – Staff were very happy with the amount of proceeds brought in from the Katie fundraiser, total around $415.00
Great Things Are Happening! Collaborative teaching has been occurring in the classrooms with 2 maybe 3 teachers working together to deliver a lesson to students. This method of teaching has been working very nicely and is good for staff and students.
School organization – School enrolment projection needs to be submitted and then the organization process will start. Staffing and class makeup all depend on the enrolment.
Food Days – Miss Richards an EA at the school holds a food handlers certificate so she will be running the food days periodically throughout the remainder of the school year.
New Report Card Format Feedback – The format for the report cards are 2 double sided pages, contains learning skills, comments and grades. There will be a spot at the bottom for the child’s comments as well as the parents.
EQAO – The EQAO dates for this year are between May 30th and June 10th. Parents will be asked to minimize student absence during that time.
